Making a contract with me
Orders will only be taken and despatched to persons aged 18 or over, in England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Wales.
On-line shop
When you place an order with us, you are making an offer to buy goods. We will send you an e-mail automatically to confirm that we have received your order, the content of your order and payment which means a contract has been made between us. Once payment is made to Jan’s Crafts the goods will be dispatched (see delivery). You will receive a confirmation email that your order has been dispatched.
In the unlikely event that the goods are no longer available, or that we have made a pricing mistake or that the web site image was incorrect, we will advise you of this. If replacement goods of the same size and price are available, you will be notified of this. If the replacement is acceptable to you, the item will be dispatched. If the replacement is not acceptable you will be issued with a refund via PayPal.
Bespoke orders (see ‘how to place a bespoke order’…)

Paying for an order
All prices are in GBP (British pounds). Postage and Packaging is extra see delivery. All prices shown remain valid only for as long as the stock remains displayed on the website. The price of any goods ordered and not in stock at time of order and subject to an increase will be advised (with the customer’s option to cancel). Payment accepted by Pay Pal Ltd only. The amount to pay must include the price of the goods and the delivery charges. Delivery charges should be added automatically. Do check that this has happened as the order cannot be processed.
Security
When you pay online by credit or debit card you will be passed to the Pay Pal Ltd secure payment gateway, use of which is subject to the terms and conditions of Pay Pal Ltd. We do not hold any responsibility for the availability of the Pay Pal Ltd gateway nor calculations displayed on its site. We only accept the order total as displayed on our purchase checkout page. Please ensure that the Pay Pal Ltd amount is exactly the same value as the order before confirming your payment: otherwise we will be unable to process your order. All credit and debit card numbers are encrypted automatically and are only decrypted after they reach Pay Pal Ltd. They are not held in clear text on any web site.
We do not accept direct payments with credit cards, debit cards, cheques or cash. We only accept payment through the secure payment system.
How to place a bespoke order for goods that are not on web site
Bespoke orders can be placed if the doll or teddy clothes are not stocked by us. To do this contact: info@janscraft.co.uk stating that you would like to place a bespoke order. A measurement form will then be emailed to you to take measurements. The form asks you to state what type of clothing you require such as for a doll or teddy bear, type of fabric or yarn, and colour. A photo of the doll or bear next to a ruler / tape measure is always helpful. An estimate to supply these goods will then be sent to you and will include postage and packing (see delivery). The estimate will include an agreed date to be sent in the post.
Once the estimate has been agreed by you, we will send you an e-mail to confirm that we have received your order and that it is accepted, and that a contract has been made between us. We will take payment from you once we have accepted your order. Payment is accepted via an invoice using Pay Pal Ltd only. The order will be dispatched as agreed in the confirmation of acceptance email via first class post and will require signing for.
Delivery, postage and packing
The following costs include both postage and packing and are as follows:
• up to weight 250g = £2.75
• up to weight 450g = £3.45
• up to weight 750g = £4.25
• up to weight 999g = £4.95
However postage prices may vary as this is also dependant on the bulk of the items dispatched.  The order will be dispatched within 5 working days of receipt of payment or within clearance of your payment. We will notify you if there is a delay in delivery of your order. Each item is individually labelled and packaged, and these charges are included in the postage charge displayed on ECWID. The goods will be dispatched via first class post. If the goods are lost or damaged in transit, please let us know promptly.
Cancellation and returns
You can cancel your contract at any time up to 7 working days after the day of delivery. To do this, please e-mail us at: info@janscraft.co.uk
You do not have to give any reason for cancellation. However, a brief explanation will help us to improve the service we offer to customers in the future.
If you cancel, you must return the goods to us at your own expense. You must ensure that the goods are packaged adequately to protect against damage. If you fail to return the goods, we will collect them, and we will charge you the direct cost of collection. If you fail to take reasonable care of the goods before they are returned to us, and this results in damage or deterioration, we will charge you for the reduction in value.
